April 4: Flash Fiction Challenge
“You know what you’re doing, Chandler?”
“Of course I do, Brooke,” Chandler assured as he stood next to the Weber barbecue.
Brooke looked down at the coals and barely saw the orange glow of heat. “I don’t think the fire is hot enough.”
“That’s an easy fix.” Chandler picked up a bottle of lighter fluid. “I have years of barbecuing experience,” he bragged then squirted a stream of fluid onto the coals. Suddenly a fireball whooshed up and burned everything on the grill into cinders.
Brooke looked at Chandler angrily.
“You said you wanted it well done,” he said.
lol, I find it funny that the fire in the picture is blazing and he has a smoke in his mouth. Great Flash!

Is that the real Chandler in the photo? I find it terribly funny too! 🙂

Just a stock photo I found online, but it could be Chandler. 🙂 I chose that name because because it has connotations of fire (a chandler is someone who makes candles). Thanks for reading!

That’s right. I hadn’t thought of that. An extra element of “fire” in the piece.

And I named the wife Brooke as a water counter balance.

Ha! The impatience at the grill leads to charcoal for dinner. A fun take on the prompt!

Lol. I find it funny that even when the fire has gone up he’s still seriously squirting the stream of the fluid in it.
