February 14: Flash Fiction Challenge
Casey got home after a long day at work, dropped everything, and let out an exhausted breath. She went through the mail and tossed most of it into the recycling bin. A red envelope then caught eye, and she saw it was from a former boyfriend. This is unexpected, she thought. She opened the envelope, and pulled out a humorous Valetine’s Day card with a heartfelt message. He still cares, she thought with a smile. She pulled out her phone and clicked his number.
Thank you for the card, she texted, but you know I would have preferred chocolate.
