A couple more stage plays of mine will be performed in New York City this year. Yellow Roses, a one act drama set in a neighborhood pub on a Tuesday night, will be getting three performances on June 5th, 7th, and 8th at the New York Theater Festival. This play got a staged reading last August 17th by the Equity Library Theater and now it’ll get a production with most of the same cast. I’ll post more about it as the premier approaches. I’ve already got an Airbnb reserved and airline tickets so I can be there on June 5th.
On August 9th another play of mine will get a staged reading by Equity Library Theater. Hacks, a ten minute farce about two out of touch old Hollywood screenwriters, is based on a short story I wrote a couple of years ago. I saw it’s potential as a stage play and rewrote it into a script.
I addition to stage plays I’m also trying to make another short movie but I’ve been running into a lot of challenges, hopefully things will turn around soon, I’ve got enough short scripts and story ideas that can be generated into quality short movies. I’m also working on a two act stage play. The setting is a cafe that’s located in a condemned building, and the owner, employees, and regular customers have to figure out what to do next.
That’s mainly it for now. I’ll post later as future projects develop.
