My comedic short movie Shady Brady’s, based on my short story Diridon Station, has been shot (more about that adventure here) and is now in the editing process. This process has been challenging for my editor because of the rush job I employed when we were shooting on location in Oakland’s Rockridge neighborhood. The camera work is shaky in spots, lighting is dim because we shot under a tree to avoid sun glare, and we didn’t shoot a lot of takes to save time. All these mistakes mean more work for the editor, but she reminded me that every project is a learning process and that I can apply what I learned from this experience to my next short movie, I owe her a lot. Looking forward to Shady Brady’s finally being done so it can be shown to the public, and looking forward to making my next short movie.
So how will people will react? One of two ways.
