Short comedy movie about a chance meeting between Andy and Wendy. They met once before, but only Wendy can remember their previous encounter. She then describes the night they shared at a shadowy waterfront dive bar called Shady Brady’s, and as memories of the night finally come back to him, he makes a move that has unexpected results.
Shady Brady’s is based on my short story Diridon Station and was shot in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland, CA and in a house in Santa Cruz, CA. Making this movie was an adventure and a learning experience, and my very rough footage was saved in the editing room by Linda Janakos, so many thanks to Linda!
I’m going to apply the lessons of this experience to my next short movie, already have some short scripts and other ideas. Stay tuned.
