My one act comedy Funhouse will be performed by the Manhattan Repertory Theatre on Saturday April 2 at 3PM and Sunday April 3 at 6:30PM at the Chain Theatre in midtown Manhattan with three other one act plays.
The story of Funhouse is about a couple who recently started dating and he’s taking her to meet his family for the first time at a seaside amusement park. He’s a bit embarrassed about his family and fears that she will find them as unsophisticated and immature as he does, but instead they hit it off and he ends up being odd man out.
A couple of other plays I wrote were performed online from New York but this will be the first to be performed in person from America’s theater capitol and I’m very excited! And I hope this won’t be the last. I’ll be traveling out there to see the performances and I’m looking forward to meeting the director and actors.
Location of the Chain Theatre is 312 W 36th St near 8th Ave. Here’s the link to the page that lists the actors: https://www.manhattanrep.com/funhouse-by-robert-kirkendall
See you there!
