A short comedic play I wrote will be getting a staged reading along with five other short works on Friday June 24th at 7PM in New York City. The event is being produced by Julia Genoveva who was in my play Funhouse which was staged last April 2-3 by Manhattan Repertory Theatre (link here: https://robertkirkendall.com/2022/04/19/funhouse-one-act-comedy/ )
My play is a 10 minute comedy about bad customer service called You Want It When? and is a work I wrote way back in 2009. Nice to see that something I wrote has stood the test of time, but then again bad customer service is timeless. 😀
As seen on the above ad the venue is at 353 W 48th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. Hope to see you there! I’ll be flying out from California on the 22nd. I wasn’t sure if I should make the trip or not since I was just there to see Funhouse, so I posted the question on Facebook and all my friends and family who responded said I should go. I heeded their advice, found a round trip deal online, and booked my flight. Hopefully traveling to NYC to see one of my plays performed will become a regular thing. 🙂
I’ll post more about this event as June 24th approaches.
