Yellow Roses At New York Theater Festival

My one act drama Yellow Roses will be performed at the New York Theater Festival on June 5, 7, and 8. June 5th show is a Thursday evening show at 6:15, June 7th show is a Saturday matinee at 2:15, the June 8th show is Sunday evening at 6:00, and will be presented with two other one act plays. The venue is the Hudson Guild Theater located at 441 W. 26th St. between 9th and 10th Avenues in New York City.

Yellow Roses takes place in a neighborhood pub on a Tuesday night and has three separate story lines that come together at the end. One story is about a couple heading toward a breakup, another is about a middle aged man trying to get his old job back, and the third is about a bar regular who just wants someone to buy her a drink. YR had a couple of staged readings last year at the Equity Library Theater and is now getting a full production.

In each story one character is trying to get something from the other character, and one of the overall themes is need versus want. The cast of this play are Carrie Wesolowski and Juan Perez as the couple, Therese McGinn as the customer looking for a drink and Kevin Allen as the bartender, Ana Joh and Joseph Harrington as the two former coworkers, and is being directed by Johnny Culver. More about this production later as opening night approaches.

Come see this play!
