“You think he’ll appreciate this?” Eva asked warily.

“Of course,” Marty replied.  “Who doesn’t like a good practical joke?”

“Most people.”

“I’m sure he’ll have a good laugh.”

Clarence walked into the room, then Marty launched a pie he’d been holding aloft right at him.  The pie splatted squarely onto Clarence’s face.  He stood crestfallen as the pie tin slowly slid off his face.

Marty laughed uproariously as Eva watched in horror.

“Well the joke’s on you,” Clarence finally proclaimed, then he wiped some of the pie off his face and tasted it.  “Key lime pie is my favorite.”
